Debra Phairas is President of Practice & Liability Consultants, LLC - a nationally recognized firm specializing in practice management and malpractice prevention. Her background includes medical clinic administration and loss prevention management for NORCAL MUTUAL, a physician malpractice insurance carrier in Northern California. Her BS is from Michigan State University and her graduate work at Golden Gate Univeristy San Francisco MBA Health Services Administration program. Her consulting experience includes over 1,400 practices of all sizes and specialties. Typical engagements include: practice start-ups, practice assessments, mergers, financial analysis, revenue enhancement, overhead reduction, personnel management, practice valuations, partnership issues and recruitment support for hospitals and physician groups. She has presented seminars and lectures nationwide for state and local medical/dental associations, management organizations and specialty societies. Debra is also certified in CA, AZ and WA as an Expert Witness. |

Dorothy Romo
A principled and experienced senior healthcare executive with broad accountabilities and extensive experience within established and startup Healthcare Service Organizations, managing high pressure and urgent accountabilities of corporate core competencies such as client management, strategic business alliances, physicians' program development/oversight and physician relations.
During Dorothy's 24 year healthcare career, she has served both nationally and regionally as Vice President for New Business Development, Vice President for Physician Services and Provider Development, Regional Director for Practice Management, Regional Director for Physician Integration and Director of Marketing.

Ted provides human resources consulting and training services which include: executive coaching, investigations, workplace diversity, wage and salary compensation program design, succession planning and affirmative action planning. He also designs and delivers on-site and web-casted human resources training workshops and seminars. The topics covered include: leadership, team-building, communication, supervision, conflict management, performance evaluation, discipline, termination, sexual harassment, diversity, cultural competency and managing a multi-generational workforce. He serves a national clientele in 18+ industries regarding employee relations, compliance, ethics, and employee handbooks/policy manuals design; he facilitates executive and board retreats. He is a keynote and session speaker for national, regional and local annual conventions and confabs.
Ted has over 20 years of workplace/workforce management consulting and training experience as an HR executive, consultant, litigation expert witness and trainer. Lloyd's of London certified him as a management trainer. He has worked with clients in 18+ industries. He has designed developed and coordinated human resources policies, programs and systems for startup, expanding and mature companies throughout the U.S.
Ted holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University and law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law - San Francisco. His current memberships include the Society for Human Resources Professionals, the Society for Human Resources Professionals. the Technology Association of Iowa and the American Society for Training and Development. He has been an adjunct professor in business, business law and management at Golden Gate University Business School and at William Penn University and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. |

Carla Eckhardt
Carla has been in the health care field for over 17 years. She has worked with non-profit health care organizations, for-profit health centers, university medical centers, and academic think tanks. She has held numerous management positions, and has been responsible for large operating budgets of $23 million, managed multiple sites, managed large service staffs, has experience working with labor unions, and has sat on Boards and executive teams. She has a talent for working with a diverse set of clients, from C level executives, to effectively training front line staff. She is a skilled facilitator, provides rigorous clinic site audits to prepare for regulatory agencies, she can lead innovative strategic planning and operational planning sessions, she designs and implements in-depth projects to tackle improving customer service or developing leadership in the management team, and has helped many clients with financial forecasting and analysis. Carla is a graduate of Yale University.
